Snack Pack For Little Jack!

If you're anything like me, you need a good snack to make it through the work day!  10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. are my peak snack hours.  Anywho, my typical snacks include cheez-its, crackers, snickers, kit kats, and reese's peanut butter cups.  Yeah, I know, the anti-healthy!  So, I've made it my bizness to turn over a new leaf--healthy, yet yummy, work snacks.  I started today and thought I'd share my top 3 finds.

I'll report back on how they taste next week!  What are your favorite healthy (BUT YUMMY) work snacks? Do share! None of the nasty stuff, no matter how healthy it is! So, share healthy yummies please!

Turning over a new snack leaf,
SG

p.s. in case you didn't catch the "Meet the Fockers" reference in the title, I highly suggest renting the movie this weekend! **smile**

  1. I also should mention that I eat a serving of delicious yogurt as a work snack in the mornings as well!

  2. I generally grab a handful of almonds around 10:30 (I keep a big bag in my desk) and a FiberOne granola bar around 4. Sometimes I'll sub a rice cake for the almonds.

    Those mixes look good!

  3. You know I have been wanting to try Fiber One bars but wasn't sure which were the better tasting ones.

  4. Mmmm...those mixes do look quite yummy. I always enjoy a good cheese stick (cheddar)and apple with peanut butter (mmmm, anything with peanut butter) as my two favorites, I love snacks
A girl at school recently told me about V8, I know, nasty thick tomato drink, but they make them now in teeny tiny cans and she said it's like a little shot of energy. I haven't tried it yet (I don't like V8, but I'm hoping that the small quantity will make it okay), but I will try next week, I'll report back on that

Hooray for healthy living, I'm telling you, those sprouts are coming soon.....

Oh my goodness, yummy sandwich, this may be the longest comment in history, lol

    artichoke hearts
    spinach
bake in the oven for a bit (about 10mins, I usually just put the oven on about 300)

On the bread (I prefer french roll or hoagie, but whatever, get something hearty, the sandwich can get thick)
mozarella cheese (slice as much as you like)
basil (sprinkle until your heart's content)
    sundried tomatoes
place artichoke hearts and spinach on top
note-I usually distribute between both sides of the sandwich so everything doesn't fall off

put all in the oven and bake until the cheese melts

top with pesto sauce (as you wish, but I like to only add a little, so it doesn't overpower)

heat about 2mins so the pesto isn't cold and
    mmmmmmm.....enjoy:-)

So I don't know how you feel about all of those ingredients, but if you like them, the sandwich is easy and quick to make, yummy, and somewhat healthy

And of course you can add any other things, I like mushrooms on mine, but I know how you feel about those
