Will Drool For Shoes!...

So, I admitted my slight liking of shoes a few weeks ago.  Well, last week I saw this picture which made me drool--look at that lovely shoe storage/display!

(wipes drool off keyboard AGAIN!)  Anywho, as promised, here are some of my favorite fall shoes from my closet.  Starting with Round Toes!  There's something about fall that makes me want to wear round toes way more often than any other season of the year.  Here are my current favorite round toes!

TEMPTATION!

So, only ONE day after I share my semi-obsession with shoes, I get this in my email from DSW:

And not only are they giving you $15 off a $49 purchase today, guess what else....

FREE SHIPPING!!!  AGH!!!  So, I said to myself, if I find a pair for $49.95 I will get them.  But guess what?! I fell in shoe-love with three pairs of shoes which don't fit the $49.95 criteria!

This shoe is my favorite!!  But it's $20 more than I wanted to spend!

So, I'm convinced it wasn't meant to be.  Although, that Jones New York Oxford Pump will probably haunt me in my dreams for at least a week! I really want it!!!

I hope someone finds an excellent DSW deal today!  Maybe I'll go back and look some more!  I just did a quick 5 minute search and found those.

Weekend & More To Come...

Why oh why do the days that begin with F and S go by so quickly?!  The weekend has come and gone but I thought I'd share a few highlights from my fun weekend...

 1. Costco & Target Trip!!  

which means TONS of Dove (for me), Irish Spring (for Troy), tissue, paper towels, and washing detergent to last us for at least 3 months!

2. Parents Visit!!

3. SMOOTHIE!!

So, I admit, I am just now breaking out a few of our kitchen wedding gifts now that we have a kitchen that can house fancy gadgets (i.e. since we've moved we've unboxed our electric skillet, electric rice cooker, and now our blender!)  While at Costco I tasted a yummy smoothie and bought a bag of Yoplait smoothie packs!  And Saturday night, after putt putt, we came home and I made some for everyone!  DELICIOUS & nutritious!  I'm going to try to make them for breakfast in the weeks to come. Pretty excited!

COMING ATTRACTIONS

Stay tuned for the dining room reveal.  It's taking so long because we keep ordering or buying curtains that do not work with the vision I have for that room.  We just received our latest curtains on Thursday so hopefully they'll be up sometime this week and I can get a picture of the dining room with the new paint, table, curtains, and table decor!  ALSO, our vacation pictures have been put on a disk and we plan to pick those up from the store this week so stay tuned for some fun posts at some point within the next seven days!

Thankfully, Better Late Than Never...

While the Thanksgiving holiday has come and gone, my blog entry about my fantastic Thanksgiving is just now making an appearance.  This year Troy & I traveled to his hometown of Mt. Pleasant, SC to visit the family!  Here are a few highlights:

• Bootleg Parade.  Upon arriving to Mt. P, Troy and I were sad to find out that Snowden's (the area where Troy's parents live) annual "parade" was not going to happen this year.  Now, let me clarify what this "parade" consists of: random people in the neighorhood riding in trucks, fire trucks, small bikes, & motorcycles with signs on their cars & children throwing candy.  It is pretty much as bootleg as you can get.  But I sure was looking forward to taking pictures and sharing them with my blog readers!!  I will never forget my first experience with the Snowden Community "parade" Thanksgiving 2004 on my first visit to Mt. P to meet Troy's extended family! 
• Midnight Outlet Shopping!!  This year was my first experience going out to the outlets at midnight!!  Accompanied by Allison and her sister Kristen, we arrived at Tanger Outlet in North Charleston right at midnight only to find traffic, a PACKED outlet, and not-so-nice people fighting over parking spots.  It was so crowded that I had to park across the street from the stores at IHOP.  The shopping was pretty fantastic I must say!  50% off EVERYTHING in Banana Republic & Ann Taylor Factory Outlet (probably my two favorite stores out there!) and other great deals everywhere else!!

• Black Friday Mall Shopping!  So, after leaving the outlet's at 3:30 a.m. (by the way, when we left the outlets Chick-fil-A and IHOP were crowded!! It was such a surreal experience!  I mean there were so many people out at 3:30 a.m. it was unbelievable!) I headed back home and thought I'd sleep in until about 11:00 or so.  BUT NO!  I woke up at 9:00 with coupons and an itch to hit the mall.  So while Troy rested I started part 2 of black Friday shopping and OH what great deals I found on items for myself, Troy, and our nieces!

• Sister from Another Mother (not literally, but spiritually speaking! Had to come back to update this b/c people thought Allison was my half sister).  Troy and I visited our other Charleston family on Friday afternoon--Allison's family.  Troy and Allison's dad had MORE than a ball together once Troy found out that Mr. C owns a Hammond and once Mr. C learned that Troy knows how to play the organ.  It was SO hilarious to see Mr. C break out the keyboard and his saxophone and the two of them played until it was time for dinner.  Literally!  They paid us women no attention until it was time to eat!  It was major fun though!

"Can't Beat That With A Stick" Part II

So, I went to ATL and after approximately sixty minutes of walking around and various trips to the dressing room (I was not as efficient as I should have been!), I am now the proud owner of three of the ruffle shirts and two "cowl neck sweaters".

As suspected, the ruffle shirts were pretty much out in my size, but they happened to have some in back!  I asked the lady at checkout if they had the two colors I wanted in back and she went to check but then I realized--"Oh no! I didn't ask about the turquoise color!" I felt too bad to ask her to go back again so my plan is to either (1) forget about that color or (2) go back tomorrow! (for those of you sitting in suspense, #2 is the most likely option--we're talking 99.9% chance). 

                                     

If you can't tell, I've really been into ruffles & belts lately, so pardon the uniformity of the pictures! I like to test just about everything with a belt these days!

"Can't Beat That With A Stick" Part I

If you've ever been shopping with me, you know that if I ever (1) pick up an item, (2) look at the price and (3) say these six magical words--"Can't beat that with a stick!"--then that item in my hand is surely coming home with me!! Some deals, you just can't pass up!  Well, I found out about one such deal today! The cutest little ruffle shirt. I purchased this shirt in wineberry about a month ago and for a "limited time only" these shirts are on sale at your local Ann Taylor Loft for the low low price of .... (drum roll please) $14.50!!

So, where can you find this blogger at approximately 5:20 p.m. today?  At my local ATL buying every color that is left in my size!!  These shirts are so comfy, versatile (i.e. you can make them dressy or casual, for work or for play, I've even done it with a belt below the bustline), and let's not forget the low price!  So, I thought it'd be crazy and unfair not to share the fabulosity!!  If you go out and buy one, let me know!!
